Here’s a simple recipe for making a classic cup of coffee:
Ingredients:
1-2 tablespoons of ground coffee (depending on how strong you want your coffee)
1 cup (240 ml) of water
Sugar, milk, or cream (optional, to taste)
Instructions:
Start by boiling the water. If you're using a kettle, let the water come to a boil and then let it sit for a few seconds to slightly cool. Ideal temperature is around 200°F (93°C).
2. Prepare the Coffee Grounds:
Measure out 1-2 tablespoons of coffee grounds. Use more for a stronger brew.
If you are using a drip coffee maker, place the coffee grounds in the filter and pour the hot water into the machine.
For a French press, add the coffee grounds to the press, pour the hot water over them, and stir gently. Let it steep for 4-5 minutes, then press the plunger down slowly.
If you're using an instant coffee, add the coffee grounds directly to your cup and pour hot water over them, stirring to dissolve.
4. Optional Add-ins:
Add sugar, milk, or cream to taste, depending on your preference. Stir well.
5. Enjoy:
Your fresh cup of coffee is ready to be enjoyed!
